CEOs Made How Much?!

CEOs made more than the average workers at their company. Not exactly a “man bites dog” story…

But 200 times more?!

That seems a bit excessive, especially considering some CEOs like Albert Bourla (Pfizer) made 291x the median Pfizer employee, despite the stock dropping 40%.

Other CEOs like Brian Chesky of AirBnB took home less than $300k, even though the stock rose by almost 60%.

Some CEOs like Patrick Smith (Axon) made the same or even less than their median employees!

(But, let’s be real…they probably made MILLIONS in stock and other comp)

(Ok maybe not the ping-pong tables)

How about access to corporate-sanctioned dating services?!

A new article from Forbes suggests that employees may have an appetite for some non-traditional work perks.

Companies like Bumble are already trying to integrate employees’ personal and professional lives by offering paid leave for relationship-related issues.

“Sorry boss, can’t make it in to work today, girlfriend had another dream about me cheating on her”.

Jokes aside, a radical approach to employee benefits could foster an environment where workers feel valued beyond their professional roles.

Here’s the case Forbes makes for dating services at work:

  1. Enhanced Employee Well-Being: A significant portion of an individual's happiness and mental health is tied to their personal relationships. By offering dating services, companies can contribute to the overall well-being of their employees, leading to increased job satisfaction and productivity.

  2. Inclusive Workplace Culture: Supporting employees in their personal lives fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion. It demonstrates that the company cares about their employees as whole individuals, not just as workers. This can be particularly beneficial in creating an inclusive environment for single employees who might feel isolated or overlooked.

  3. Improved Work-Life Balance: Dating services as a perk can help employees find balance in their personal and professional lives. With busy schedules, finding time for dating can be challenging. This perk acknowledges and addresses that challenge, helping employees lead more balanced lives.

  4. Strengthened Employee Loyalty: Innovative and thoughtful perks like dating services can strengthen employee loyalty and attract top talent. Companies that prioritize unique and forward-thinking benefits are likely to stand out in a competitive job market.

Sounds like a bunch of HR cases waiting to happen…
